Unvaccinated are 12x more likely to be hospitalized than Corona vaccinated! Study makes it official!

A new study from the U.S. National Institutes of Health concludes that vaccination is more protective against hospitalization with COVID-19 than previous infection with the virus.

7,000 people compared in study!

The analysis found that people hospitalized with coronavirus-like symptoms were more than five times as likely to test positive for COVID-19 if they had a previous infection than if they had been recently vaccinated. The study, released Friday, looked at more than 7,000 people in nine states and 187 hospitals and compared unvaccinated people who had contracted the coronavirus in the past three to six months with vaccinated people who had been vaccinated during the same period.

Some have argued that people who have already been sick with COVID-19 are less likely to need to be vaccinated.

However, the CDC also urged those who were already infected to get vaccinated.

Hospitalization rate 12 times higher in unvaccinated than vaccinated.

The vaccination coverage rate among those 12 and older has now reached 78 percent who have received at least one vaccination, but Walensky pointed out that more than 60 million eligible Americans are still unvaccinated.
